A cinematic high-jewelry digital showcase built to feel like a private viewing. Where ancient Egyptian artistry meets contemporary mastery, and every scroll deepens desire before a single word of sales pressure.
The Challenge
House of Kemet needed a digital presence worthy of one-of-a-kind high jewelry. Not a catalog, but an experience that communicates rarity, heritage, and craftsmanship in seconds. The site had to slow visitors down in the right way: cinematic pacing, editorial typography, and immersive product storytelling that leads naturally to collection exploration and private viewing requests. Performance and polish on mobile were non-negotiable for international clientele browsing on the go.
Our Approach
- Opened with a cinematic preloader and hero sequence. “Preparing your viewing”. To set a gallery-like tone before the first piece appears.
- Structured the narrative around The Showcase: bold serif headlines, restrained copy, and gold-on-obsidian art direction that signals luxury without clutter.
The Outcome
- 4m 08s
- Avg. Session
- +36%
- Viewing Requests
- < 1.5s
- Mobile LCP

- Designed dual conversion paths. Explore Collection for discovery and Request a Viewing for high-intent appointments. Placed as equal, elegant invitations.
- Built scroll-driven reveals and generous whitespace so each collection moment breathes, mirroring how pieces are presented in a physical maison.
- Deployed on Cloudflare Pages for global edge delivery, fast first paint, and a flawless experience for international visitors.

How We Built It
Project Timeline
Week 1
Brand & Narrative
Defined the maison voice. Heritage, eternity, contemporary mastery. And mapped the visitor journey from first impression to private viewing request.
Week 2
Art Direction
Crafted the obsidian-and-gold visual system, serif headline hierarchy, and cinematic pacing boards for hero and collection sections.
Week 3
Experience Build
Developed the preloader sequence, showcase scroll reveals, collection grid, and appointment CTA flow with performance budgets throughout.
Week 4
Launch
Deployed to Cloudflare Pages, validated on mobile networks, and tuned load timing so the preloader feels intentional. Never sluggish.
“The site finally feels like walking into our maison. Clients linger, explore the collection, and private viewing requests have increased noticeably. It sells the emotion before the piece.”
